CISCO Networking Devices

This post is a continuation of a previous article on ‘Introduction to Cisco Packet Tracer’In this article, I am going to discuss in detail about all the Cisco Networking Devices in the real world as well as in the Cisco Packet Tracer which is a network simulation software provided by Cisco.

Before Starting let us really know about WHAT IS BASICALLY A NETWORKING DEVICE?

The Networking device which we are talking about is that it is a device or equipment which is used for communication with another networking device(s). And this communication is been possible due to the OSI Model i.e the data is being transferred from a different layer before reaching the source networking device.

Or if we talk about the general definition of what basically a networking device is so,

Networking hardware, also known as network equipment/DEVICE or computer networking devices, are physical devices which are required for communication and interaction between devices on a computer network. Specifically, they mediate data in a computer network. Wikipedia

Now we have enough knowledge about what is  networking devices so, let us now know about the different types of networking devices in the Cisco packet tracer (Network Simulation Software  by Cisco)
